Santa gives
children rides
Children and the young-at-heart were given rides with Santa Claus during the Washington Volunteer Fire Company’s benefit buffet breakfast on Dec. 21. The fundraiser was a great success, adding about $800 to the fire company’s coffers.
Ike Frye played Santa, the horses and wagons were donated by Everett and Jackie Estes and Ennis Jenkins served as the driver.
The next WVFD benefit buffet breakfast is 7 a m.-11 a.m. Jan. 18 at the fire company headquarters on Warren Avenue in Washington, Va.
