Mayor Dean Morehouse and Vice Mayor Brad Fisher joined Mrs. Parrish and Mr. Gooch voting against Mr. Barton’s nomination for the Haffler seat. Janice Moffett voted with Mr. Bailey.
Mr. Fisher then nominated Mr. Barton for the Parrish seat, effective Jan, 17 and provided Mr. Parrish does formally resign. The motion passed unanimously. The Haffler seat was left vacant until the council decides whether it wants to keep an architect on the board, even if he or she is not a town resident.
Mr. Barton joins Donna Kevis, Eve Willis and Patrick O’Connell on the ARB.
