Cynthia Kaye Williams of Prince George and John Andrew Wayda Jr., also of Prince George were united in marriage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 at Saint James Catholic Church in Hopewell, Va. Father Paul D. Jenkins performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ella V. Williams and the late James E. Williams of Chester Gap.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Wayda of Hopewell.
White lillies decorated the alter and were adorned with white satin bows and ivy.
Wedding music was provided by Doug Irving who performed selections from Bach and Beethoven and sung “Sunrise Sunset.”
The bride escorted to the alter by the groom wore a full length satin gown with puffed sleeves adorned with satin bow, sequins and pearls. The fitted bodice was enhanced with the same and a basque waist. The sheer back was adorned with buttons extending into a full length skirt flowing into a semi-cathedral train accented with embroidery cut outs of sequins and pearls enhanced with scalloped edge and graced with a large satin bow. Her fingertip illusion veil fell from a band of silk roses adorned with lily of the valley, sequins and pearls.
She carried a bouquet of white cascading closed roses, statice, lily of the valley with black and fuschia miniature closed roses in honor and remembrance of her father.
