Nellie Dodson
Nellie Elizabeth Dodson, 86, of Radcliff, Ky., formerly of Sperryville, died Friday, June 26 at her residence.
Mrs. Dodson was bom May 25, 1906 to the late Hettie Jenkins and Jacob Dodson.
She was a member of the Black Oak Regular Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dodson is survived by one daughter, Margaret L. Jenkins of Radcliff; five sons, John Dodson and MacArthur Dodson of Culpeper, Haywood Dodson of Winchester, Jacob Dodson of Reva and Douglas Dodson of Boston. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dodson was predeceased by her husband Elwood F. Dodson, three daughters and two sisters.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, June 30 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. C. Wayne Richards and Rev. Hoover Heflin officiating. Interment was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Nellie Fox
Nellie Mae Fox, 94, of Culpeper, died Saturday, June 27 at the Orange County Nursing Home.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Susan Haynes McFarland. She was the widow of Lloyd Martin Fox.
She is survived by two sons, Charles E. Fox of Culpeper and Carl M. Fox of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Stella F. Burke of Culpeper; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence McFarland of Orange and a sister, Cora Campbell.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Anna Mae Rider and a son, Lloyd C. Fox.
A funeral was held Tuesday, June 30 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with interment in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Floyd Binns officiated.
