The Rev. Malcolm P. Maples
has accepted the pastorate of Washington, Flint Hill, Sperryville and Willis Chapel Methodist churches and arrived at the parsonage in Flint Hill Thursday to assume his duties. His last charge was at Schuyler, Va. where he served six years. Mr. Maples is a native of Alabama and attended schools in that state. He comes from a family of ministers. His grandfather, father and three brothers are all in the ministry. Prior to entering the service of the church, he was employed with the Department of Defense.
4-H Camp time is here again, and 4-H members from Rappahannock will eryoy the mountain air along with youth from Clarke and Warren Counties from July 31 through Aug. 5. Members are asked to return applications for camp by July 10 to the Extension Office. Anyone interested in providing a partial or full seholarslyp for a deserving 4-H’er to attend camp is asked to contact the Extension Office.
