T. Carlyle Lea, Jr., Washington,
Va., has been appointed as County Judge to succeed Judge B. M. Miller, who served the county for 17 years. Judge R. V. Snead, of the Circuit Court, administered the oath of office to Mr. Lea Monday. Mr. Lea will preside as Trial Justice, Judge of Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. Mr. Lea has recently opened a law office in Washington and was appointed Coordinator of Civil Defense for the county. He graduated in June from T. C. Williams Law School of the University of Richmond.
L.O. Fears, M.D., Health Director of Rappahannock County, issued a notice today to this effect: “Notice is hereby given to all users of water furnished by the Washington public water supply, to boil all drinking water and water used for culinary purposes. The water supply is considered unsafe for consumption
