Correction In the June 18 edition of the Rappahannock News, the driver at fault in a June 14 collision on U.S. 211 was incorrectly identified. According to Virginia State Trooper C.A. Moore, the accident was caused when Kirk McLaren, 22, of Washington, D.C., failed to observe the road narrowing from four lanes into two at the construction zone just west of U.S. 211 Business. McLaren hit David Uhlman, 34, of Springfield, headon as Uhlman attempted to avoid McLaren’s vehicle. McLaren was charged with reckless driving, according to Moore’s report.
