Amissville Volunteer Fire Department has 40th anniversary, limited edition VFD T-shirts available for $10 each. Special thanks also to all the volunteers with the Ruritan Club for their hard working during the past year, also those with the Scouts and 4-H Club.
We are blessed to have so many volunteers in our immunity. Whatever activity you’re involved in, we salute you. You’re important whether you’re a member of a club or not - that phone call, card, visit, or prayers for the lonely or shut-in are just as important. Special thanks also to our churches for their great work.
Rappahannock Extension Office is conducting a 10-week nutrition and weight-control class on Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m. The class began Jan. 11, but if you would still like to join call 675-3619.
Amissville Health and Fitness Club meets 10 a.m. each Tuesday at Amissville United Methodist Church, located on U.S. 211. No fees. Call Cathy at 937-5024. This is a support group; weigh-in may be done in private.
