Vicky Blaylock Taylor Vina, 29, of Stephens City came before Judge Robertson for violating probation. She had been found guilty of shoplifting twice in Winchester and once in Frederick County last year while free on probation from a 1989 conviction for check fraud.
Luke told the judge “a step by step approach with this lade has not worked. She has been through CDI (Community Diversion Incentive program) and out on probation.”
The judge ordered her to serve the balance of her five-year sentence and gave her seven days to deal with her three small children.
Robert Lee Hall, 38, of Tampa, Fla., came before the judge on a bond hearing. He has been charged with sexual battery, rape and attempted rape of a 16 year old girl in August, 1991. After listening to testimony from Hall and his wife, Judy, Judge Robertson set bond at $5,000 cash on each charge.
The Grand Jury returned to the courtroom before noon and its foreman Randall Updike handed to the clerk eight indictments against four persons.
Raymond Ralls, Sr., 72, of Sperryville was indicted for abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. County animal warden Johnny Ray Pullen has charged Mr. Ralls held him at gunpoint on Nov. 1,1992.
Romeo Wilmer Ferguson, ,35, of Jeffersonton w’as indicted for making a false statement on Virginia Firearms Application.
Edward Curetis Lambert, 21, of Elkwood was indicted on four charges stemming from an incident near Peola Mills last October. He has been charged with assault, attempted abduction, attempted robbery and tampering with a motor vehicle.
James Franklin Butler was indicted by the jury for receiving stolen property belonging to David and Helen Smith, while knowing the property was stolen.
Last Thursday in circuit court a jury found Loretta Zimmerman, 50, guilty of shoplifting, a third offense. She w'as accused of stealing a pair of boots from the Farmers’ Co-op. The jury sentenced her to 12 months in jail and a $1,500 fine.
