Business Council to meet
The Sperryville Business Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 16 at Country Home Antiques in Sperryville. All members are urged to attend. The main topic of the evening will be the upcoming festival on May 29 and 30.
Banquet planned
Tickets are on sale now for the Rappahannock County High School athletic banquet and awards ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 27. Varisty athletes attend free. Tickets for others are $3.
Wood to meet with parents
Forester and naturalist Lyt Wood will meet with parents of preschool children at the Library at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 24 to disucss ways of involving young people in the wonders of the natural world. There will also be a discussion of books on nature appropriate for preschoolers. •
"About the Weather"
Was the weather better or worse in the “good old days?” Find out at 3 p.m. this Sunday, May 16 at the Rappahannock Historial Society. The program includes a discussion by long time county residents Bea Butler and Raymond Johnson. In addition, “disaster” photos from the society’s files will be on display.

Spring concert at RCES
The R.C.E.S. Choral/General Music program will present a “Springtime Extravaganza.” This music performance-informance will take place in the R.C.E.S. multi-purpose room on Thursday, May 13. This Spring concert will consist of: second grade’s “Reading Rainbow", kindergarten’s “Mother’s Day program”, 5th, 6th, 7th grade chorus and general music students. Bring your mom, dad, sister, brother, grandparents, little children, and friends to the concert and enjoy the show. As always, our concerts are free and open to the public. We are asking, however, that everyone bring in a canned item for the needy. The elementary' school w ill have box table to place your donations.
