The Town Council voted to have VDOT accept a portion of Middle Street as a stub street into their secondary system, subject to the approval of final plans by the Town Council.
There were questions raised about the paving of the street affecting the natural watercourse. Once accepted into the VDOT secondary system, “the street would be surfaced with surface treatment ‘liquid asphalt and stone’ to provide an all weather surface,” according to a letter to Town Attorney Frank Rey
