In Rappahannock Circuit Court on Monday November 8, James Riley Williston, Jr., 25, of Washington, pleaded guilty to one count of breaking and entering, one count of grand larceny and nine counts of forgery and uttering of checks. According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke, the charges were in connection with a break-in at the home of Clydetta Lynn in April, 1993, and the theft of her 1990 Chrysler LeBaron. The nine counts of forgery are connected to five checks drawn on the account of Pam Lynn and four checks drawn on the account of Clydetta Lynn, totalling $918. The case was continued to March 14, for a pre-sentence investigation report and disposition of sentences.
Judge W. Shore Robertson scheduled March 3 as the date for a trial with jury in the case of Erika Virginia Sinnott versus the Rappahannock County Public Schools. According to the file, this case involves a school bus accident which allegedly caused injuries to Miss Sinnott, a student on the bus at the time. The schools are being sued for $50,000.
John Wesley Leake, 19, of Chester Gap, was in court on a charge of violation of probation. Common-' wealth’s Attorney Peter Luke recommended that Mr. Leake spend time in “boot camp,” if he can get in. He would have to meet the requirements of the Department of Corrections. Mr. Leake’s attorney, Roy Bradley, also felt this was a good idea, and Judge Robertson agreed. The case was continued to February 3,1994 for further disposition.
The Grand Jury indicted eight people.
Jake Thomas Taylor, 34, of Castleton, was indicted on five counts: breaking and entering the dwelling house of another with intent to commit rape and while armed with a deadly weapon; manufacture marijuana, or possess marijuana, with the intent to manufacture such substance, not for his own use; commit sexual battery on a female age 20 years; attempt to commit rape on a female age 20 years; and attempt to commit forcible sodomy on a female age 20 years. This case has been continued to November 18, 1993.
Robert Adam Love, 20, of Sperryville, was indicted on one count of breaking and entering into the home
