He was born in Rappahannock County on Feb. 20, 1933, to the late Ora France Jenkins and Noah Harrison Fincham.

Mr. Fincham is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine M. Fincham-of Sperryville; a son, James “Jimmy” H. Fincham, Jr. of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Mrs. Dana R. Kilby of Slate Mills and a granddaughter, Brittany Nicole.

He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary H. Jenkins, of Etlan, Mrs. Frances Dodson and Mrs. Betty Jenkins both of Sperryville.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Fincham and Carl Fincham and one sister, Mrs. Martha Jenkins.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at Found & Sons Chapel with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating.

Interment followed in the Etlan Cemetery.

Dorothy Dodson

Dorothy Bell Dodson, 74, of Viewtown, wife of Eugene Marshall Dodson, died on Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

A native of Culpeper County, she was the daughter of the late Will Claude and Fannie Cobb Bawkey.

She was a member of Gourdvine Baptist Church near Rixeyville.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Gene Marshal Dodson, Clarence William Dodson and Ronald Stuart Dodson, all of Viewtown; four daughters, Sherlean D. Wavland, Joyce M. Wilson, Gloria Lynn Switzer and Janet Leigh Hitt, all of Viewtown; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ennis J. Bawkey and James E. Bawkey, both of Rixeyville and two sisters, Lucy Shaw of Mitchells and Ree Berry of Amissville.

She was predeceased by another brother, John Bawkey.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Nov. 15 at the Gourdvine Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Darling and the Rev. Milton Switzer officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
