Mr. Don Neilsen, of Huntly, taught a six-week 4-H Dog Obedience Class. “We hope he’ll do it again in 1994,” commented Scott Cunningham, “and that there will be sufficient interest from the children for him to do so."
“A 4-H school project of which folks may not be aware is the 4-H Stock Market Club in which students compete against other high schools throughout Virginia in a 10week buying-selling game,” said Mrs. Smith. “We first study about the stock market and commodities market and then each team is given an amount of pretend money to buy and sell on the stock market for eight weeks. Whoever makes the greatest profit wins,” explained Jamie Wood. Roger Flinchum, the Economics Teacher at Rappahannock County High School, is the leader for the 4-H Stock Market Club.
