It uas far from dull in Richmond as Virginia lawmakers met in what was supposed to be an attempt to improve the lot of the citizens of the Commonwealth. And back home all over the state citizens have been scratching their heads at the events in Richmond as they attempt to understand just what is being improved.
l et's look in on a typical couple as they discuss recent news.
"Buck, 1 don’t see why those Republicans are so mad at Senator Warner. They blame him for everything! I heard one politician say that if Warner had supported all the candidates last November, there would never have been that horrible earthquake in Japan!”
"No, Mildred, that was a landslide, not an earthquake,” said Buck. “They said if Warner had supported Ollie North the election would have been a landslide. But maybe all the fighting among the Republicans is as bad as an earthquake."
