March 2, 1996 would have marked Glenn and Ruth’s 50th wedding anniversary.
Ruth spent many of her years working as a secretary, even to her husband. In 1967 Ruth and Glenn formed a family partnership which administered the affairs of the Water Pollution Control Association of Pennsylvania until 1986.
Early years for Ruth included garden club interests and sewing for herself and her family. This interest in sewing eventually lead to the establishment of the Germanna Fabric Shop with her husband in 1972.
Mrs. Marburger is survived by her husband, Glenn, of Lake of the Woods, her oldest child, G. Allen Marburger, who resides with his wife, Faith, in Belle Plaine, Iowa,- and her youngest child, Leslie C. Mehring, who resides in Covesville, with her husband, Peter Mehring, and their sons, Ryan and Adam. Ruth’s second child-Wendell A. Marburger, died in November 1981.
Friends afid acquaintances are invited to a commemorative ceremony and friendship hour for Mrs. Ruth Marburger at the Friendship Hall at The Lake of the Woods Church Saturday, March 9, from 3 to 5 p.m.

Nellie Sisk
Mrs. Nellie Sisk, 77, df Washington died on Sunday, March'3 at the Fauquier Hospital ijn Warrenton.
A native of Rappahannocjc County, she was the daughter of the late Haywood and Lucille (Lou) Jenkins. <
Her husband was the late Lester Clifton Sisk. '!
She was a member of the Nethefs Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle. !
She is survived by three sons, Warren Turley of Falls Church, Samuel Sisk of Washington, an{i Donald Wimer of Manassas and twp daughters, Nettie Mauer of Manassas and Betty Godwin of Arlington. >
She is also survived by 30 grancichildren and 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Jenkins of Woodvillfe and two sisters, Rosie Jenkins ojf Culpeper and Frances Jenkins of Gordonsville. |
Funeral services will be held at 1} a.m. Thursday, March 7 at Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating. !
Interment will follow iA Sperryville Cemetery. ' |
