As usual at Rappahannock, the Jack Bruce Memorial Hound Race provided the near 3.000 spectators with a sporting spectacle as the program closer. Nearly 30 hounds from area private packs and night hunters came out to try the drag trail. Crowd and early book favorite Hornet, an entry of Reva farmer Kelly Corbin, made easy work of following the line. The tri-colored hound retired the trophy for the third time for Mr. Corbin with his win — Hornet’s fourth in five years.
