Washington jjpsuqey Douglas K. Baumgardner is ufiT> year’s Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) Sponsor Coordinator. In a letter dated Feb. 28 Mr. Baumgardner outlined a program in which everyone can participate in supporting our youth.
To be a Fold Sponsor of a team and be recognized at all athletic events and functions during the 1996 baseball season, cost is $350.

If you, a relative, or friend have tried in vain to stop smoking, yoii are encouraged to try the Hartland Wellness Center’s program. It begins Sunday evening, March 10 and will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and continues for five nights. The program is all natural, no drugs nor hypnosis. Cost is only $35. You and your teens are encouraged to watch “Sex, Lies, and the Truth” film at 10:30 p.m. March 6 on Channel 20, WDCA. The film discusses unwanted pregnancies, sexually-transmitted diseases, and AIDS. The program was formerly used in the Fairfax County school system.
In last week’s Rappahannock News. Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Captain Wayne Dodson posed in front of Rescue Engine 3, a combination fire engine and rescue vehicle. It cost $182,000. The fire and rescue company appreciates all donation from the community. The county’s fire tax covers operating costs of the fire department, not equipment.
