Deputies from the Sheriffs Office have been spending time manning the dumpster sites, and this has resulted in less illegal dumping in the county. Saturday and Sunday were busy days at the dumpsters, said Sheriff Settle.
Chris Johnsen of Castleton reported last Wednesday that a small satellite dish was missing from his yard. The theft is under investigation.
On Feb. 26, a juvenile reported . his wallet missing. He had been playing basketball at a Baptist Church on Route 642- in Amissville and noticed his wallet missing from his other possessions which he had laid aside while playing ball.
According to Sgt. Hawkins of the State Police, Hugues Christian Beaulieu, 29, of Washington, was charged with reckless driving last Wednesday. Mr. Beaulieu was driving a 1990 Acura 4-door 1.5 miles north of U.S. 211 Business when he ran Off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. The Acura receiyed $2,000 damage. Trooper M.C. Woodard investigated the accident.-.
