After an emotionally charged two day trial on charges of child sexual abuse, Scott Randolph Stewart was acquitted by a jury of four men and eight women.

The jury deliberated for just 10 minutes before delivering their verdict: not guilty on all counts.

Mr. Stewart, who is 32 and now lives in Atlanta, was indicted last November on two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. The complaining witness was a 13 year-old girl who claimed that Mr. Stewart sexually abused her in 1988 when she was
