Easter Sunday, April 7, Ellen Mustoe and Richard Simmons who will celebrate their day on April 9 and SuSan Hunt on Wednesday, April 10.
A group of 2.1 along with Rev. Phil Bailey took a hike Sunday afternoon up to Mary’s Rock on the Skyline Drive a prize was offered by Fanning Baumgardner for the first person to reach Mary’s Rock, the prize was a patch which said “I climbed Mary’s Rick” which Mr. Baumgardner had earned when he was a young boy. Chad Huddleston was the lucky winner. Upon the hikers return back to the Washington Baptist Church Jim and Carol Marangori and their daughters, Kathy Lane and Sue Sabitina had prepared a pizza supper which all enjoyed and the drinks were furnished by Mrs. Sandra Jenkins.
Our prayers are with Cumberland Bennette of Gainesville who had triple-by-pass heart surgery in Fairfax. Hospital on Monday.
A Maundy Service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 4.
