Policy Committee Chairman Charlotte Nichols said, “I feel it’s only a matter of time before we have challenges, people wanting to censor what we have in our library. Wve’d better prepare ourselves.”
She reported that a review of policies shows the library is prepared to deal with requests to remove books following guidelines generally laid down by the American Library Association.
The board agreed any volunteer who receives such a request should^ simply give the person a copy of the form to be used and report the incident to Mr. Shaffer.
