The Board of Supervisors will be holding its annual public hearing on the county budget next Monday evening at 7 p.m. The most controversial provision is an 8.7 percent increase in the real estate tax rate from 69 to 75 cents per $100.
This will bring ih an additional $306,000 in revenue.
All other taxes including the fire tax and personal property taxes will remain the same.
