On May 21, a two car accident took place on U.S, 211, .4 mile west of Route 1001 in Spenyville. Christopher Meadows, 33, of Luray, had stopped in his 1990 Buick to make a left hand turn when he was struck in the rear by a 1982 GMC pickup driven by Russell Lucas, 83, of Shenandoah, Va. Trooper Wayne Sumner charged Mr. Lucas with reckless driving.
On Friday, Wade Fletcher, 69, of Washington, was westbound on U.S. 211 near Washington when he ran off the right side of the road and overturned. Troper Woodard charged him with reckless driving.
