Graveside services were held on Saturday, May 25 at Shiloh Cemetery in Woodville with the Rev. John R. Pendleton officiating.
Found and Sons was in charge of the arrangements.
Charles Lewis
Charles Berkley Lewis, 67, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Sperryville, died on Friday, May 24 at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He was a retired chef.
Survivors include one daughter, Treavous of Fairfax; five sisters, , Virginia and Harriet, both of Washington D.C., Mae Proctor of Lanham, Md., Betsy Myles of Landover, Md., and Rev. Anna Allsberry of Flint Hill; two brothers, James Lewis of Washington, D.C., and Thomas Lewis Sperryville and one aunt, Lottie Aylor of Sperryville.
A funeral service will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 31.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at John Rhines Funeral Home, 3030 12th Street, North East Washington, D.C., and Friday, May 31, from 10 a.m. until time of the service at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville. A
