Twelve Angry Jurors is an intense play that demands a lot of concentration and emotion from the 12 Rappahannock High School students who play the jurors.
There is a diverse range of characters played by students whose personalities are mostly the opposite of their roles.
For example, sophomore Mike Baader is very sweet and is not one to get up and speak his piece all the time. But in the play, Mike portrays a loud-mouthed bigot. It is a part that he has a lot of fun with, because he seems to be trying on another personality.
Senior Jason Weekly does an outstanding job of playing a character who demonstrates constant hatred for the teenaged boy who is on trial for the murder of his father. Part of the hatred Stems from the character’s own son, who is around the same age. It is not in Jason’s
