Sympathy is extended to the family of Nellie Timbers, who passed away at the Sunny Slope Home for Adults in Flint Hill on Monday at the age of 102.
Michael W. Frazier was a Tuesday evening guests of his aunt, Mrs. Alvin Atkins in Sperryville.
Several young people from our' area were in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday and were honored for getting involved in their community and received Congressional Awards. Miss Elizabeth Boyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Boyd received a Silver Medal for her time devoted to 4-H Club Work. Miss Heather Will, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Will, also received a Silver Medal for services as a kindergarten teachers aide and working with the Windmore Foundation for Arts. We congratulate each young lady, as they along with sixteen others had the privilege of eating in the Senate Cafeteria and later had a tour of the Capital.
