Dog Lives
To the Editor:
I just wanted to inform the person who hit our dog last Monday, April 29, on Route 647 outside Flint Hill, that Simon is going to be OK. His pelvis was broken in two places but he’ll be up and running again by the end of the summer.
I only wish you had stopped when you hit him and informed me so that his pain could have been eased sooner. I wouldn’t have blamed you. Even though we have an invisible fence, Simon is known to cross the road on occasion, and I’m sure that your hitting him couldn’t be avoided. Please remember that lawfully you are supposed to stop if you hit a dog. Morally, it’s just a kind thing to do.

To the Editor:
When I accepted the position of baseball coach at RCHS, I was not aware that I would also be the grounds crew, maintenance crew, public relations coordinator, weekend baseball retriever, equipment manager etc.
But don’t let me mislead you; I have enjoyed every moment of it. I had a great assistant coach and a great group of young men to work with.
But these responsibilities would have been far more difficult on me had it not been for the people who unconditionally donated their time, equipment and patience. I’d like to take this opportunity to say that without their help, we would not have been as successful this season. Thank you, to all or our fans and volunteers, but most especially to the following supporters and contributors:
