Mr. Ratliff will be sentenced on June 5 after the receipt of a pre-sentencing report.
Randall Linden Ramey, 25, of Spenyville, was in court to have his case reviewed. Because of a previous violation of probation, he had been ordered by the court to complete the substance abuse program at Boxwood, attend AA meetings and pay all his court fines and costs.
Mr. Ramey’s attorney, Douglas Baumgardner, said his client was complying with all the terms of the court order.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke said that Mr. Ramey wished to remain on supervised probation, and Judge W. Shore Robertson agreed to do so. He told Mr. Ramey that he was very pleased that he had completed the conditions of his probation, “I hope you find you do not need these substances in your life. They will destroy you as sure as you aire sitting here,” said Judge Robertson.
Ronald Edward Johnson, Jr., 22, of Stevensburg, pleaded guilty to two felony charges in Circuit Court last Thursday.
Mr. Johnson had been indicted on two counts of receiving stolen property, in particular, a Honda 4-wheeler and a Kawasaki motorcycle. The stolen items were found on property located on Lake Drive in Amissville, which was not Mr. Johnson’s property, but he claimed that the, items were stolen and that he had stored them there.
