To the Editor:

Once again it is my extreme pleasure to recognize and thank all of the incredible people who volunteer in one way or another for the Rappahannock County Public Schools. Almost daily I hear of new volunteers who are offering their services in a variety of ways.

Already we have documented over 1,000 hours of volunteer time at RCES alone, and there is a busy spring season approaching. (Dedicated volunteers at the high school work daily answering phones, monitoring the computer lab, helping in the library, judging forensics competitions, etc.)

The next three months hold many more opportunities for your readers to help our county and its children by assisting at one of our public schools. Whether you are twenty, or sixty plus twenty, you will be warmly welcomed at either school, and so very appreciated.

If you are willing to assist with the Spring Book Fair. Arts Fest, Field Day or Dare Day at RCES, or you would like to help with the Chorus or the Art Department at RCHS or RCES, please call me. I’ll be happy to discuss the many volunteer positions available.
