“We didn’t realize it was so much trouble to put up a sign,” said Rachel.
“When we say obtainable goal we mean we’d like to get at least one sign done and up before the end of the current school year,” Mr. Vickers said.
The girls disagreed. “We’d be disappointed if we don’t reach our goal and get all four signs up,” said Tanya. “We came up with the idea because we want people to feel welcomed to the county when they come into it.”
“It’s also something we can do, and get done that shows we care about our county,” Rachel said.
“I think it also makes a point to others coming here about what our county is like,” said Tiffany.
Their first step was to present the project to the Board of Supervisors which they did at the March 3 meeting. The Board approved their idea
