The family of Dolly Melbourne wishes to thank everyone who sent birthday wishes to her in honor of her 80th birthday on April 16. It was a wonderful surprise for her and one that she thoroughly enjoyed!

In honor of Lila Tolbert’s 99th birthday, friends and family gathered to celebrate her special occasion with a belated birthday dinner. The delicious dinner, held at Ms. Tolbert’s home on Saturday, April 5, was a great success. We wish Ms. Tolbert a fabulous year and hope to hear how she plans to celebrate her 100th birthday!

Several area schools and businesses will be recognizing Earth Day this» week with activities and plant sales. It’s a great opportunity for parents to involve their children in outside projects like clearing the yard of debris or planting a special tree that will produce lasting memories.
