Although the weather was wet, it did not dampen the spirits of the players. The first two weeks of Rappahannock soccer has shown a good defense in the U-14 team according to coach Maureen Day. The April 12 game against Fauquier 2 was lost 1 to 7 and on April 19 the team lost 0 to 3 to Fauquier 3.
The U-12 team, coached by‘ John Bridgeman, nicknamed themselves the Blue Ridge Kickers. The team lost their first game in the rain to Fauquier 3, but then won their second game against Fauquier 2 with a hard fought score of 3 to 1. The whole team played well according to the coach.
