Last i Tuesday they traveled.to Nokesville to ! play the number one seated i Brentsville Tigers. This was the first ' district game for the Lady Panthers. Rappahannock took the lead early ;*■ scoring nine runs in the first inning. Meghan Fairbrother and Margo Haynes started the game off with a single a piece. Emily Taylor also singled in the first collecting two RBI’s, - Keirsten Kerr kept the rally going with a single, while Amy Freeborn and Kylene Wolfe also reached base on two walks. Angela Atkins and Julie . Atkins singled for Rappahannock driving in two more runs. Fairbrother came to the plate once again for Rappahannock in the first hitting another single bringing in two more • runs. Rappahannock collected nine runs off of seven hits in the first ' inning, but failed to score again. The Lady Panthers dropped their first disj trict game by a score of 13-9. Rappahannock took the field the following day as they hosted Strasburg.
