Burnam Hawkins
Bumam James Hawkins, 89, of Reva, a retired fanner, died on Tuesday, April 15, at Culpeper Health Care Center.
A native of Speny ville, he was bom on Feb. 15, 1908, the son of the late Charles R. and Frances Woodard Hawkins.
Mr. Hawkins served in the Army Corps of Engineers in 1936 and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.
He was a member of Novum Baptist Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Culpeper.
His wife was the late Delzie F. Hawkins.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 17, at Clore-Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Edward Hawkins officiating.
Interment followed in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Clore-Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
