with the other students from Virginia Beach and other surrounding areas. Some of these students will be advancing to the National Level to.be held in Kansas City in late June. I think the local volunteer companies who are fortunate enough to have these young men should be very proud of them. Being a volunteer at one time myself I understand how important it is to have dedicated people to be there to get the job done. Judging from what I have seen from these young men these companies have that. It’s a good feeling to know that we have young people right here in our community willing to take the time to leant these skills and be willing to step right in and help out.
These young men were under the direction of Mr. Frye (their teacher from Piedmont). This gentleman really appears to have his students best interest at heart. He certainly appears to be very dedicated to his students which really means a lot to the guys as well as the parents. My hats off to him for this type of dedication.
I would like to take the opportunity to express a special congratulations to John Bobbit, Tyler Haynes, Trey Smith, Mike Williams, Travis Dodson, Chris Gray, Matt Marlor and Mr. Frye for your accomplishments and GOOD LOCK to those of you who will be making the trip to Kansas City. I know you will be great.
Also congratulations to all the other students who competed in their special events and just remember if you didn’t come home with a medal
