Louise Payne
Mrs. Louise Renalds Payne, 88, died in Culpeper on April 15.
She was bom June 8, 1908, in Criglersville, the daughter of the late Frances Finks Renalds and Wade Ashby Renalds.
After graduating from Criglersville High School, she attended and received degrees from James Madison University and Harrisonburg State Teachers College.
Following graduation, she returned to Criglersville where she taught school from 1930 until 1941.
After her marriage to Harry William Payne, they made their home in Alexandria for 40 years and then chose Culpeper as their retirement home in 1982.
Mrs. Payne is survived by her husband, devoted cousins and friends.
She was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church and was always active in community activities artd various clubs wherever she lived.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Byron Renalds and an infant brother.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 18 at Found & Sons Chapel with Dr. Ted W. Fuson officiating.
Interment followed in the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery.
Found & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
