NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Wednesday, May 14, 1997, at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia, at 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Town Hall on Gay Street, Washington, Virginia, there will be two (2) Public Hearings held: 1. For the consideration of the Adoption of Combined Definitions for the Town Zoning, Subdivision, and Historic District Ordinances; 2. To consider the adoption of the Town's Budget for the fiscal year 1997 - 1998.
COMBINED DEFINITIONS TO TOWN ORDINANCES The Planning Commission of the Town of Washington, Virginia and the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia shall hold a joint Public Hearing to consider the adoption of combined definitions for the Town Zoning, Subdivision, and Historic District Ordinances. A copy of said definitions are available during normal business hours in the Town Hall on Gay Street and in the Office of the County Administrator of Rappahannock County, also on Gay Street.
TOWN BUDGET The Town Council will hold a Public Hearing to consider the adoption of a Budget for the Town for the fiscal year 1997 -1998. A synopsis of the Budget is as follows, and a copy of the detailed proposed Budget for fiscal year 1997 -1998 is available during normal business hours in the Town Hall on Gay Street and in the Office of the County Administrator of Rappahannock County, also on Gay Street.
The proposed Budget also contains a proposal to place certain funds which were budgeted to be expended in fiscal vear 1996 - 1997, but which were not disbursed, into a reserve fund for study, planning, and/or construction of a Town waster water disposal system. Members of the public are invited to attend these public hearings and make their views known at the date and time aforesaid. _ .,. _ _ ,
