A Cry for Help
Was Answered
To the Editor:
I would like to take this methpd to express my humble thanks for your quick response to my urgent need and plight when my tractor overturned pinning me underneath on the afternoon of February 26, 1997.
My heartfelt thanks go especially to Mrs. Wiggington who first heard my cries for help and alerted the Sheriff’s Office, the Volunteer Rescue Squad, and the Volunteer Fire Department all of whom responded immediately. I also must thank Mike Brown and Richie Baldwin who expertly and gently used their tow truck to lift the tractor off of me enabling the Volunteer Rescue Squad to remove me without further injury.
After that the Volunteer Rescue Squad carefully and professionally checked me over and transported me to Culpeper Memorial Hospital for their evaluation. Nothing was broken but bruising was extensive. Again, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you one and all for coming to my aid and saving my life. May God Bless.
