The Commission also approved the request by Admiral Joseph Gardiner for the withdrawal of 25 acres out of the Agricultural & Forestal District. This was the first request of its kind since the creation of the District in 1983.
Admiral Gardinpr requested the withdrawal in order to make a gift of the land to Harry and Nancy Newlin so that he will have neighbors near him that can help him out should he need help.
