The Town Council Wastewater Survey Committee, headed by councilman Charles Tompkins, is studying alternative wastewater management systems including environmentally friendly “green” technology.
The concept underlying “living machine technology” was briefed to the council last November by Dr. John Ives-Halperin, president of Nature Works, Inc., an Alexandria based company.
Mr. Paul Nikituk, a wetlands expert from CH2M Hill, Reston, provided information on artificial wetlands.
