a long-time deacon of Shiloh Baptist Church. Her marriage was blessed with five children.
Mrs. Harrison joined the church in her early childhood, and remained a faithful and supportive member of Shiloh Baptist Church as long as her health made it possible.
In 1962, she and her husband moved from Woodville to Arlington where they lived with their son George.
She was a kind and gentle person and was always ready and willing to help those in need.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by an infant daughter Margie.
Survivors include a daughter Virginia Rainey of Arlington and three sons James Hugh Harrison and wife Ruth, and George Robert Harrison, both of Arlington and Dr. Charles Henry Harrison and wife Mildred of Toledo, Ohio.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild; a sister Ida Jackson of Culpeper; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Aug. 31 at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. George O. Dean officiating.
Interment followed in the family section of the church cemetery.
