As the new school year
beings, Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation would like to recognize the courage and commitment of Rappahannock’s elected county officials in developing and approving the 1997-98 school budget.
The judgment shown by the members of the Board of Supervisors demonstrates their conviction that the youth of our community are its most vital resource.
The supervisors’ determination to resolve issues by looking for long-term solutions will benefit our entire community.
Rappahannock’s students are fortunate to have dedicated, effective advocates on the School Board who are willing to put in long hours of research, networking and meetings for our community.
Their evolving long-range vision to strengthen the schools’ curriculum and improve the physical plant have set the stage for a renewed drive toward excellence.
Rappahannock is also very fortunate that its school system has gathered and retained a strong, committed group of administrators and faculty. In this small rural setting each student received a high degree of personal attention and encouragement to succeed.
By working with school leaders, concerned citizens and community organizations, Headwaters aims to help make Rappahannock’s public schools the best they can possibly be.
