Auction scheduled

Cub Scout registration
Cub Scout back to school night will be Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School cafeteria. Any interested boys in grades 1-5 are eligible to join. Registration cost is $4.20 or $8.85 with a subscription to Boy’s Life Magazine. “Come out and hear about the exciting things we have been doing,” said a spokesperson.
Retired teachers to meet
The Rappahannock Retired Teachers Association will host the annual Fall meeting of District “N “ Retired Teachers on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the Flint Hill Public House. Send registration to Miss Mary Miller Wood before Sept. 5.

Walk-in Clinic at the Rappahannock County Health Department will be on Sept. 15 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Family reunion planned
It’s that time again the family of the late Henry T. Whorton and Lillie M. Cloud Whorton will hold their reunion at the Rappahannock Park on Saturday, Sept. 6. “Family and friends are invited, come bring a covered dish and join in,” said a family member.

Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue will sponsor an auction on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. Items are still be accepted for this fund raiser. Donated items can be brought to the fire department or call 675-3615 for pick-up by members.
