Story hour underway
The Rappahannock County Library’s Story Hour for pre-school children, ages 2-6 is currently underway and will continue every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. through the remainder of the year.
The program of songs, finger-plays and a story will last about 30 minutes. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult, but no pre-registration is necessary.
House tour planned
The annual Rappahannock House Tour sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church will be held Oct. 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5p.m. on Sunday. Once again, there will be three houses on tour, a tea and the famous dried flower sale. For additional information call Charlotte Nichols at 675-3500 or Louise Eastham at 675-3550.
NSDAR to meet
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at the Culpeper United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. The speaker for the afternoon will be Mr. Nels Parson of Washington.
Imaginative painting class set
Laurie Marshall is offering a month long series of painting classes on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. at the Public House in Flint Hill starting Sept. 23. Participants will generate unique and meaningful images while learning techniques in painting. The fee is $100 for the series or $28 per class. Space is limited. Call 675-3267 to register.
