While it’s not California she’s still enjoying herself. “I love it here. All the people here are really nice and I have a really nice family.”
She not only loves her host family but shopping as well. She commented on how shocked she was to find a portable CD player for $40. In Australia they are closer to $200. She also enjoys American television, back home they only get four channels.
Lucy and her American family recently returned from a vacation to Pennsylvania. She hopes to visit D.C. and see the White House and possibly even President Bill Clinton. “He’s my hero,” she said.
