Rappahannock News Staff Writer

The Rappahannock Sheriff’s Office issued 56 summons during the Labor Day weekend.

Sheriff Gary Settle said it was a result of planned traffic stops by county deputies which were made possible by a grant his office had received.

Three criminal arrests were made as a result of the stop along with three DUI’s, one habitual offender and one in-state fugitive arrested and taken to Fauquier County.

The other summons were for speeding and traffic related violations, he said.
