A group of blind children from the metropolitan area experienced a day in the country Saturday when they were entertained at Glen Eyrie, the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Miko and at Mountain Green, the farm of Mrs. Marietta Cheatham in Rappahannock County near Washington, Va. Virginia apple growers have agreed on a recommended price to processors for this season, Robert B. Delano, Virginia Farm Bureau president, announced today. For residents of Rappahannock County, who are sending more of their young men and young women to college these days, the cost of education is zooming. Total rainfall for the month of August measured 7.99 inches in Amissville, according to Miss Lucille Riley who manages the official weather gauge there.
