From Piedmont landscapes to still life, Emily Kinnier displays her concepts of color and design in a new show opening Sept. 5 and running through the 28 at The Middle Street Gallery, Washington, Va.
A special artist’s reception will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the gallery.
Ms. Kinnier is a life member of the famous Art Students League in New York City, and in the 1950s and ‘60s, studied there with such giants of the American art scene as Morris Kantor, Ben Cunningham, Robert Beverly Hale and Burgoyne Diller.
Twenty-eight works ranging from tree groves to mountain landscapes to still life will be on display in watercolor, collage, prints, and drawings.
