Rappahannock County Sheriff Gary Settle has saved the county thousands of dollars and made training, community safety programs and extra officers possible for the sheriff’s office — and all it took was thousands of hours of hard work on his part.
Settle has applied for and received 11 grants from various sources to supplement the budget for the Sheriff’s Office in the last year. Two more for next year have already been okayed.
